Ranting at retailers

Here it goes.

I've been aware for some time, that a few retailers have started the habit of deleting their last post in their sale thread and then reposting it without changing anything to it. I don't know about anyone else, but I find it very frustrating. It's as frustrating as a banana bump. And if I remember right...Banana bumping is against the rules!

Now I can see a few retailers bowing up in front of their screens saying: "I pay for my thread I can do what ever I want!"

Well...Many of use members pay a contribution (and some pay quite alot) and guess what?...we still have to abide by the rules. So why not retailers?

Like my father says: "If you don't have anything new to say, shut up!"

end rant...

I get annoyed by this as well.
But like Tex said, it's the rules.

I think its in the sense of receiving new stock, they can update and inform more frequently?

It does get annoying, for example when Ehobby asia had made a new thread for every little update they had. But when its contained in one large thread, i find its fine. allows me to keep track of current and past things.

Its just nice to have an indication when something is new and available, or if retailers announce restocked items/ordered items.

This is about deleting and reposting the same post, not new information.

Retailers pay bases on a monthly rate. We get stock in on Monday then more stuff in on Thursday then more on Saturday, by the standard set of rules Retailers could bump 4 times a month. Or we could generate a new thread for each product we list. Retailers get around the 7 day Bump limit rule as a house keeping measure.
Thanks for supporting the board and thank you for checking the retailer threads, as usual ASC encourages you to support the retailers that support your hobby. If you are frustrated by the lack of Airsoft related New and Exciting threads perhaps you could come up with something fresh & exciting.

I understand bumping for new stock or restocking. But bumping for nothing is just annoying.

I see there's a new post in the retailer threads, I go; "Ah yeah! What can I buy today!"

Only to find one annoying delete bump.

Anyway...In my case, It's just less competition for the other retailers who don't "delete, bump".

It's already in the rules as per antelope that retailers can do what they wish in their threads as per the retailer terms of service. As stated they pay for this priviledge.

Site Supporters - donate (what once a year usually, sometimes not even that often), and get access to more sections.

Retaillers - pay (monthly) to be allowed to run sales threads here, if they want / need to make multiple posts or rearrange said retail threads to run their business then thats what they are paying for the ability to do.
