I work in a professional industry, believe me, most professionals don't know how to do a lot of things properly. Being professional just means you get paid to do that job lol

If you giving a handy to your tac grip, you've got a less stable grip on the rifle and as you pull back, your actually pulling the rifle down since your pulling towards yourself UNDER the axis of your barrel. If your hand is cupping the foregrip like a large titty, your pulling back across the axis of your barrel and directly into your shoulder.

I've always found I was more accurate while not performing sexual acts on my accessories during combat lol

For the L85A2:

Take a strong stance, left foot in front of the right, separate your legs by approx 18 to 22 inches depending on height, push your right foot back and to the side keeping the right leg straight. The left leg is to be slightly bent at the knee.

The weapon is to be cradled to the shoulder with the pistol grip in a secure holding pattern in the right hand, the left hand will be displayed in a secure grip upon the fore-stock half way along its length.

The rifle will be brought up-to the shoulder with the stock securely in the nook of the shoulder maximizing area contact. The rifles battle sight alignment will be in clear site of the eye allowing clear sight picture. The weapons safety will be removed, to make ready to fire, upon contact or imminent contact with the enemy.
NEVER PLACE YOUR FINGER UPON THE TRIGGER UNLESS READY TO FIRE UPON THE ENEMY. This is the cardinal rule. OBEY.

Just shoot how it's comfortable for you to shoot while still staying stable. If you're worrying about how to hold a rifle because some DVD told you that you had to hold it a specific way, you'll be too busy trying to place your hands properly instead of taking down the tango.

Besides, the idea of what's "right" and "wrong" changes almost monthly depending on who is huge with IPSC and is laying down the lead.

The fact of the matter is, if you've got a good position and it's stable while keeping your silhouette reduced, then you're fine. Whatever works and keeps you alive.

True for people don't intend to use airsoft as training tool for firearms.

As far as i know a lot 3 Gun Shooters were doin it that way long before Costa & Co decided to re-market it with sexy buzzwords & plastic accessories.

Magpul is kinda like the Apple of the shooting world.

Very true. I fire my M249 with it tucked deeply in my right arm at my hip and my chain of dummy rounds draped over my left arm.This is comfortable for me.

I have read that firing air rifles requires a different grip and technique than firing a real rifle. To be specific, competition shooters will hold their air rifle extremely gently and not 'fight' the recoil forces for the most accurate shot. There were physics involved; far too complicated for me to remember but they seemed legit to me (which means there were big numbers and fancy formulas and crap).

Where would airsoft fit into this scheme? Usual AEG users don't really have any recoil to consider at all, even less than an air rifle. I don't know much about GBBRs yet (new fangled toys that they are) but I am thinking that their recoil can't be much more substantial than that....
