I don't think its possible to really reverse the gear pin. I've forgotten which direction it's supposed to be in, just try turning it fully counter clockwise, or fully clockwise, should do the trick. If not, i guess i'll tear into mine and make sure

I did it! But now the gears won't turn in the box and the fire selector is really stiff.
