G&P great externals? Not so much :(

Hello guys!

Today I received my G&P m4 RAS AEG. I'm building a USMC loadout and wanted to add an M4 to it instead of my Dboys M16. I've been using it for a while and its getting cumbersome

When I first looked at it I thought it looked really good! But when I was making some detail pictures I noticed the receivers had a different color! Theres also a small opening between the upper and lower receiver. My 200 euro specna arms has a better fitting upper and lower receiver. Have I gotten a melon? Is this greyish black standard for G&P?

It also came in a bland cardboard box without any trademarks of G&P on it.

Heres some pictures:

And another:

I've read a lot of good stuff about G&P on the web, so I might have been expecting to much?

G&P is hardly top tier.
The only reason they were the preferred gun 10 years ago is because there simply wasnt anything better.

Ok! As I said tho, on a lot of forums, even on this one, theres people claiming within the budget range, (VFC, G&P, KWA) G&P has the best externals.

What brand would you recommend for an "vanilla" m4 within 300/400 dollar price range?

Well with the size of those pictures it all looks fine to me.

Real ARs have a gap between the upper and lower. As long as it fires it's G2G.

Anno finish varies batch to batch and you'll see real ones with a purple lower and black upper.

If you want something to put up on a shrine in your room maybe try Airsoft Surgeon. If you want something that looks like a Marine would use this is more than enough.

The colour is fine. Marines tend to clean their guns to the point that they develop a metallic purple patina because their armorers make them over clean their weapons as busywork. That shade you have looks much more realistic than the shitty black coating most Airsoft guns have.

The reciever set you have there doesn't look unrealistic with the slight gap either.

Hi Guys!

Thanks for your messages. I like how Danke puts it perspective Its supposed to be a "weapon" not a showpiece.

Wilkie: I guess because of the shitty black coating, we have been grown accustomed to how "guns" should look. Never seen a real AR so thats all I have to relate to. Thanks for your answer ^_^

All the G&P stuff I have held and owned is good quality. Think they get a bad rep but I think they're really good. Look online. They're sold out everywhere. Must mean something.
