I've lasted an entire season on a single Coleman tank.

Yeah, unless you're a crazy shooter like me who plinks in the basement on an almost daily basis, then I could see one cannister lasting a LONG time.

Been using the white and black cap propane tanks from C-tire for years, just use the AI oil that comes with the adaptor and no problems.

Is it possible to get an adapter to hook your bbq propane tank to your AI adapter?

I don't see why not. And I'm guessing this is the ultimate economic solution. lol

Leaving a small bit of gas as in enough for a few shots is fine. Never expel gas by pressing the valve. Sure way to ruin your seals.

Since the magazine of the TM M1911A1 uses a significant amount of gas per shot, and a fully charged magazine contains just enough gas to empty all BBs in the magazine, and sometimes it is not even able to fully shoot all the BBs, is there any gas left even thought the gun can not shoot?

I mean after emptying the magazine should i load a bit more of gas, or is there a minimum amount of gas left there, but it's just not able to shoot?

Does this make any sense?? :banghead:

If you're going to store it, give it a shot of gas.

Just got my TM M1911A1, what a beauty! this pistol looks awesome and feels even better!
The pictures I've seen online don't do it justice.

I loaded the green thank Coleman propane in the TM M1911A1 magazine and this think blowback kicks like nuts, and sound loud as hell.

The quality of the ABS is outstanding, and it was so cold when i got it I thought it was metal.
Since this think kicks so strong with propane i am really concerned how long this ABS slide will last.

Ok, now I have another noob question:

How much of gas should I load in the magazine? how do I know the magazine is full of gas and properly charged with its maximum capacity?
Is there some hint such as holding the thank there for 3 seconds or so?

PS: If i decide to upgrade the gun, will just a metal slide be enough or do i need anything else?

3-5 seconds is a good time. If no gas is leaking out (not sure what TM 1911 valves do, my DE valves sometimes leaked on fill, my KJW valves never leak on fill), just hold it there for longer to make sure it's full, if you want. No real harm.
