Question Storing Spare Parts?

Having accumulated a modest amount of spare parts and airsoft-specific tools, I'm currently looking for a versatile, compact way to sort, store, and possibly transport everything. Right now my parts are scattered across a few tupperware bins, a plano tackle box and my old tool box.

I'm curious how everyone goes about sorting and storing parts; everything from extra springs for your anti-reversal latch to hand-guards and rail systems.

Post pics if you have them!

Bin sorters. Ones that hang on the wall or ones with lids

Storage and transport are 2 different things.

In terms of transporting, it's hopeless to try to transport everything, but fisherman's tackle boxes are quite good for these types of things. But you'll soon learn to just pack an extra gun rather than pack the tools and parts required to fix busted-on-the-field guns.

Small arts and craft boxes are great for the small bits (gears, nozzles, bushings/bearings, plugs, wiring, etc) and the short, flat storage boxes found at Home Depot work well for storing the larger pieces.

I use a fatmax Stanley bin kinda like this. Pull the trays out and you can get bigger odd shaped things in.

I am standing at 2 full-size rubbermaid right now...
At some point I stopped trying to sort.
One is for internals/parts
One is for externals/accessories

I sort my parts into plastic baggies, then I place them in tupperwear. I take my tupperwear and put them in ammo tins.

Tbh, its not the most efficient way, I'm looking into getting a large style tackle box so I can easily swort my gears/screws/springs/ ETC. I really don't think I will need it much in a few months since I have almost completley switched to GBB and have no spare GBB parts yet.

It is hard to be both organized and space-efficient when storing airsoft stuff. Things come in all sizes, oddly shaped, and there are too many different types of logic (or lack of logic) to categorize them.
I currently use a tackle box for most of internal parts, and two large plastic totes for large...... and not large parts, and accessories, and things I can't decide whether are parts or accessories.
Inside the plastic totes I use a few large ziploc bags and reusable shopping bags as an attempt to categorize.

I have a ton of sterilite bins that hold disassembled client gearboxes, and parts sorted by gearbox version, one bin for generic catch all gearbox parts, an assortment of rubbermaid/plano tackleboxes for shims and such. A couple big lidded sterilite bins for gun parts/barrels.

I have a bag of graveyard junk.

How much stuff are we talking about? Maybe it's time for a parts thread.

Anyways, for small parts, the organizers you can find at a crafts store are perfect. Larger items like barrels and externals can all go into a larger bin.
