Stark Arms glock slide not very smooth

I wonder if it's common across all Stark Arms/VFC glocks.

when I rack the slide and release it slowly, it gets stuck about half an inch instead of going all the way forward.

example when release slide slowly:

edit: the above is an example of a WE but the same problem holds for SA

Seems normal to me
All my Glocks that I've owned are like that.

I did own two Stark Arms Glocks when Starks first put them on the market and they both were terrible. That was many years ago though.

Not sure how the quality is now but my Slides on both Glocks ended up getting stuck to the point where I had to cut the slide in half.

Don't ride the slide. The gun isn't designed to work that way.

What he said.

There's a little "sear" in the hammer assembly on the back of that glock that you need to lube. Normally your gun's recoil spring is good enough to engage and disengage it without too much resistance or wear and tear. If you do find it annoying, you need to remove the slide, disassemble the hammer assembly, and lube it up real good with some lithium grease or other non-runny silicone alternative (since it just runs elsewhere and doesn't stay). After lubing there will be significantly less resistance and is more smooth in comparison, but it will still get caught because of how it mechanically functions.

See pic below for the "sear" i'm talking about.

This problem exists on other TM GBBP and even TM's glocks. I found that the only way to make the slide smooth is to rack it as single-action instead of double action on some pistols that have the hammer.

Don't ride the slide forward. You aren't meant to do it on real firearms and you aren't meant to do it on airsoft.
