I highly doubt that any groups, civy or military, could be able to play airsoft on a DND territory. Especially in Valcartier where you have live fire ranges going on day and night, and live exercise sectors going on with the 30mm and 105/120mm.

They will not risk either getting someone injured on their propreties who are not military personnel outside of their fields of exercises. They are not willing either to play kindergarden with a group of people on their base.

And remember this is likely the most risk-adverse entity in Canadian society (More than soccer moms? Maybe...)
Well I should say risk-adverse regarding civilians, not members of the profession of arms.
I had a tight leash at the CFB Kingston range as both a post-grad, and DND civilian for range days.

Correct me if i'm wrong but there is no live fire exercise going on in camp dubé. Besides I would not realy want to play close to any of the impact areas in the first place and that's were range control comes in letting you know when it's safe to play.

BTW I work right next to 12 RBC.

This idea has occurred to me. What a worthy idea and it's good for training too. Nothing like practicing your IAs with a safe GBBR that functions like the real thing.

It is because I am going to try and convince the CFB Edmonton base Commander to give the Edmonton Airsoft Regiment access to one of the training areas/facilties on the base. The reason I need CF numbers is to show that there is an interest in the CF and that if I have to form a club on base to gain the access I want that I will have a the numbers and support to do so.

Also I am reaching out to any CF Member (or anybody for that matter) who has played in or knows about any airsoft games played on any CF base or training area so that I have a precendence to present as well. Any info is welcome.

When I have my meeting with "The Man" I want to be able to counter any reason he might have to say "NO".

CFB Kingston just authorized an "ATV fun ride" through the training area, open to EVERYONE including civilians. Going to investigate this to see what had to be done to get this going.

I think there also should be an airsoft thread for those in the cadet program.

A thread specifically for those Army, Air, Sea Cadets that play airsoft. Scouts is far different from cadets.

I believe you missed skeletor's point entirely.

If you want the thread, go make it...though with the cadet age group being 12-18, I don't expect there to be many on here.

In Canada the Scouting movement is referred to as just that, not 'Boy Scouts' or 'Girl Scouts.'
