I almost sold this gun twice in the same week. I was set to sell it, then another buyer gave me a better offer, then he flaked.... THEN!... I recently bought some accessories for a M4 project that I wondered what would look like on the sig... and I fell in love all over again...

ics sig 551 ... mbus, angled foregrip, flashlight, silencer, cheek pouch. The rail on the front end was taken off the top of one of those m3000 shotguns and screwed into the top handguard with black screws...

Anybody else shave the connector nubs off their mags? I've been working at it all morning...jesus, even though it's brittle enough to snap if you drop the mags, they're not easy to take off with tools. I've been sanding and cutting, and I've still got a lot of stumps left over. Might need to take a dremmel to the mags to do it properly.

Dremal should have been your first choice! I cant tell you how much time I have saved over the years with a Dremal. Those little carbon cut off wheels are amazing at making quick work of hardened steel. Not that there is a lot of hardened steel in airsoft anyways. But I often replace pins and parts with steel equivalents.

I take them off. I used side cutters, and just crush/twist them off. Clean up/level with a razor blade.

Yup I took mine all off. Useless. They just get caught on pouches or other mags.

I should have done this first, but I just noticed that the rear nubs actually have screws inside the Marui/MAG nubs. Those should probably be unscrewed first. The G&G doesn't even bother with them.

Seeing this is making me feel crushed that my 552 has been down for so long! Arg! Okay so now that I am getting it up and running I remembered that I only have HI-caps cuz the MAG brand is so shitty. Where can I pick up some dummy round short and longs?

The MAGS are actually pretty decent if you're willing to put in the work for them...they feel more solid than the Maruis. The G&G lowcaps look the best, if you want fake bullets.

Here is a teaser of my PGC P226 NAVY, It has been finished but I will do a full review with better photos after the holidays.

There is no describing how nice the finished results are, you have to see one in person for yourself!

I will also toss my gun rag in tech list and see if there's any interest in me building custom guns for others on ASC

Prepare your panties ladies. Yes that's a real Sig rail. Link to fullsize pic underneath.
Now just to find a battery solution.....I'm thinking maybe a PEQ box or something similar.
