Gun-porn will go up as soon as I have a chance to put it all together...in about 1-2 weeks!
I almost went with a VIS but since theirs a PTW one arriving before winter for like $300 imma grab that lol

I just hope its made better than the current one for normal AEG's!

I think that when you have 2 BBs glued like that, it's always going to be potential for a choke point at every turn in the mag. If you mag is clean and stays clean, it's not likely to be a problem. But we all know that's not the case. Free BBs are going to be able to move as one, where 2 stuck together + sand and debris could be a problem.

Next, we've all seen the followers shoot out of the mag. And they're hourglass-shaped. When you have 2 BBs together, it becomes figure-8 shaped. Is this going to cause a jam at the hop-up should it escape the mag? The factory ones have, but a free BB will just get shot out of the gun, no harm, no foul. I've had several occasions where I've shot the green BB out. Would it have tried to fire the complete follower? Who know's 100%, but no sense risking damage to a hard-to-find hop-up, when I have lots of green BBs.

Just my thought on the matter.

And where are you guys getting your lowers? Is anyone stocking them, or special order only? PM me.

Doods, stop shitting in the thread. Seriously.

Also, I think I may have fried a fuse by shooting with a dead battery. Is there anyway I can check without a battery? (no charger in my possession at the moment) ... Ty.

After mags, cylinders, batteries, etc. expect to have to save about $3000 pre-purchase. If you can find a good deal it'll be less, but if you have to buy everything new then that isn't far off. YMMV with various pricing.

ptw's are alot more realistic nowadays. the kit costs about $1500, with a cylinder and a mag and usually a battery. youll need more mags and another battery eventually and that there is about another $300.

I've been out of airsoft since the summer and when my PTW's motor took a shit. Has Systema mentioned anything about their shitty motors?

I'm thinking about hopping back on into airsoft. I loved my PTW when it was working but i hate the high price tag and the heavy maintanence. I hope the 490's motors hurt systemas name more than anything. What is the next line of PTW's?

The 490's are easily repairable, I've done at least a dozen so far.

The repair procedure prompted them to change their design, and they are now manufactured with the pole/comm joints soldered and with silver/carbon brushes (like the R/C ones) for longer life.

M4 cylinders and TW5 cylinders are NOT cross compatible.
