I really don't know which company the pot metal frame came from, (maybe a Tercel), but they literally cloned everything right down to the original TM trademarks  WE Chrome arched main spring housing was modified to fit. After sanding the pot metal frame, I gave it two coats of clear lacquer in an attempt to stop it going grey. Almost looks like it's stainless, almost |

Damn.
You make me jealous. You have one of the best sanding and polishing techniques i've ever seen. lol. It looks like it just rolled out of the factory. So natural looking...

Thanks guys!
I'll attempt a write up the next time I'm hunched over my sink for hours wet sanding. I hardly used any polish on this one, mostly sanded using 600 - 2000 grit, was going for a dull shine rather then a super bling chrome finish. Not so sure about the lacquer though, it's really humid here and it's affecting the curing. (I would have baked it on, but my oven heating element recently arced  , need to get it fixed )

I was gonna say, you should let the silver tarnish a bit for an "aged" look. I think that makes he 1911s so interesting to look at.
Your frame doesnt warp or do anything stupid when it's baked? I'm too scared to bake my anythin pot metal. lol..

 Since I'm finally done with school and pre-uni prep...and that I'm literally a week from reaching the age of majority, I decided to rummage for my old Beretta. While I did some cleaning/maintenance on it, I decided that I was bored of having it being monotone black and made it two tone. That used to be a KWA M93R. I removed the front grip and sanded the slide, I'll probably find something to clearcoat it with later. I was also reminded of the space where my APS M40 used to be, until the shop owner decided to close down and take my rifle with him, never to be seen again...
