That's pretty awesome, looks like you guys could be on the next cover of a Call of Duty game.

In all seriousness though, it's looking good. Only obvious changes would be for everyone to pick up an LWH or MICH and to each get their own pairs of USMC approved olive-mojave boots. Once that's done and over with, I'm sure you guys would be looking way better. Then you can work on slowly replacing all the Flyye stuff with Eagle, SDS, etc...

USAF FAC in MARSOC units?

Sorry if this is a dumb question but it is really bugging me, I am aware that the USMC uses USAF Forward Air Controller's for their infantry but I was wondering if MARSOC uses them? If so do they fill a role in the squad and use the squads/fireteam's identification patches? If anyone can give me some information on this it would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

MARSOC has their own JTACs, so gearwise they basically they look like any other Marine in their squad, but most of the time with dual comms headsets, dual PTTs and dual radios.

Thanks for clearing that up!

AFAIK USAF TACPs(I assume thats who you are referring to) only work with the Army, not USMC. Infantry battalions would have USMC Pilots and other pers trained/employed as a FAC.

Also, the USMC has ANGLICO units that support the MAGTF/FMF and non USMC units - they've supported British units in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

After these pictures were taken, we´ve accuiered some more helmets, and desert shoes. (I´m the guy without the uniform top-part, hung-over and didn´t find it before the shoot...)

waiting on some more photos from the photographer, takes about 6-10 hours per picture...

EDIT;

I might add this.

Theres a mix of MTV´s and Force Recon vests here, all from FLYYE.
Different pouches for different assignments within the squad etc.
The SPR have allso gotten a better sight, better foot, and small m4 mags.
Guys look pretty good, some things stand out though, ie the wrong boots, some guys have sloppy bloused pants, laces sticking out. Also why are guys holding their AEGs like a right handed person, but pistols are set up(holster and ammo pouches) like a left handed shooter?

What kind of USMC impression are you guys going for? Grunt/Infantry or Recon/FR/MARSOC? If doing a grunt impression or training might want to be clean shaven for a more accurate look as well.

Well after spending a month in Camp Lejeune with the 3/2 Marines and some Force Recon, I can tell you that I wasn't really impressed. Don't get me wrong they rock some very nice gear but their skills ... Not too sure about that. As a normal Light Infantry guy I was able to get my recce det closer to the objective than some of the Force Recon boys.

Good bunch of people tho, very nice to talk too and very friendly. I was fortunate enough to trade real desert marpat and their cap aswell as a woodland marpat poncho for hoochies.

I used to love to lurk this thread but now it seems to have died . I am looking at putting together an MBSS kit or an RRV kit, I currently have an RRV but it's a khaki Condor one. Frankly, it just looks silly with all CB pouches on it. Anybody know where I could get a cheap Pantac/Flyye RRV or MBSS?

Also, does anyone have any Shark Gear brand pouches? Been looking at them because the price is awesome but I want my stuff to be somewhat matching. If someone could post pictures comparing it to legit FSBEII gear in sunlight I would appreciate it a lot!

Shark gear is darker than Flyye, which is darker than EI FSBEII.

For the price it's decent, but the difference is noticeable.

I can help once we make a deal for that MBSS .

Alright guys, so here is what I am currently aiming for:

Second Line-
*Pantac MBSS
*3x Fireforce M4 pouches on front
*FSBE MBITR to far right
*Some sort of admin on chest, or shotgun shell pouch. Maybe even frags.
*USMC Source hydration offset on the back because I just got it and want to use it, will definitely get a MAP later
*IFAK or ACOG pouch to the other side of the hydro

First Line-
*SDS MOLLE belt I took out of my FLC
*EBB 6004 for my MEU
*Some sort of speed reload pouch perhaps
*EI 9mm pouches (They fit my MEU mags really well so why buy .45 pouches right now?)
*AI FSBE leg panel
*2x EI frag pouches
*2x AI Flashbang pouches
*1 fFreforce M4 double

Headgear-
*Waiting to get a car before I buy a helmet since it's hot as hell on Cape Cod most of the time
*Bruins throwback logo hat will suffice until then .

Everything else-
*Tan nomex flight suit
*Bates 85501s
*Voodoo crossfire gloves
*Maybe a PACA (Like with the helmet, I'd rather sacrifice authenticity than risk dehydration and heat stroke).
