So it's CYMA, which would explain why it's cheaper. CYMA is OK.

My friend's CYMA AK does weird shit if you don't pull the trigger all the way on semi.

That happens with all aeg's with mechanical triggers if i'm not mistaken. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

Yes this occurs with all AEGs I've tried so far. Half trigger pulls can cause the gun to lock up. A mosfet will ensure that the gun fully cycles every time the trigger is pulled, and also prevents the gun from locking up with half trigger pulls.
