My mistake I meant the grove on the slide where the mag catch makes contact on the slide, that parts wears out very quickly.

Definitely not the 5.1. Unless you're comparing to a glock 34. The 4.3 is a bit bigger than the 17/18c, LTIC.

WA Infinity 5" Standard.

Some may say it's hard to find parts, but they just don't know
where to look. And in the almost 3 years of my Infinity's life it's
only required a new loading nozzle after 2.5 years of reliable
performance as a main GBB. Reliable and top performance in
stock form, even better with the upgrades I have on it.

Free demonstrations and pain at TTAC3 on request.

1st secondary of mine was a TM g26,, love it,, fits anwhere on my gear,, ive always used propane in it, and must have shot at least a full large bag of bbs through it over the last 2 years,, keep it clean and maintained and i can still use it to shoot marbles of a table at 20 paces.

the second pistol i bougt was the TM 5.1 hicappa,, bought second hand with only light use and its pretty much the same as the g26,, shoots hard and accurate,, now that i have spare mags for it its going in regular field use.

one really nice thing about the 5.1 is the loud "KRACK!!" when fired,, one of the nicest sounding guns in airsoft,, i havent heard a louder gbb.

Yeah, I don't think a plastic slide, without some kind of restrictor would last very long. But, it would be kinda fun to see a slide explode, dontcha think?

I've run my first gen TM HIPACA completely stock for 3 years using only propane... the only thing that broke is the slide catch. In the same time a friend whent thruw 2 WE hicapa with half the abuse I put my TM thruw ( I have 7 mags and used it as a primary for 1 indoor season\ non stop). The plastic slide can take the abuse

I'd got for a TM hicapa (either model) hands down over anything else.

I stand corrected.

Just out of curiosity, is your grip safety still functioning as it should?

The 5.1 is widely considered the best performing GBB out of box. I'm not sure there is another GBB with more after market parts manufactured for it then 5.1. It can also be a great base for a IPSC pistol. I use .23g BBs in mine with propane and its about as accurate as a real pistol within 40-50 feet. There is some slight variability due to the BB weight but needless to say the 5.1 is more accurate than I am. The 5.1 also comes with adjustable target sights and one of a largest ammo capacities for GBBs. I wouldn't worry about metal bodies unless you are a collector, which if thats the case you should only consider a WA or a Tanaka. I would not normally say this but TM really does make great GBBs. If you want a accurate, reliable field gun the 5.1 should be a top choice.

KSC Glock 19 hands down. Too bad it's not on the list.

Don't get him something he'll have to upgrade and spend MORE money on, not the greatest gift ever. KJW Glock 23, I swear by them, I have 2. In my opinion, great internals, never had a problem with them, they feel great, very heavy, awesome blowback and come with a metal slide and barrel right out of the box! GREAT value for your money!

Cheers
