Han Solo DL-44 Heavy Blaster build thread

So here's a project I've been wanting to build for awhile, Han Solo's Blastech DL-44 Heavy Blaster. With the new movie came a perfect opportunity, the prop masters used an HFC M712 as a base for the gun, as opposed to a real C96 mauser as in the original movies. So now it's possible to build a "screen correct" Solo blaster.

The WE one coming down the pipes is shit, THIS is gonna be done right.

So here is what I'm going after;

And here is where I am right now;

Stripped HFC M712; I know not very far along but ya gotta start somewhere.

Build components;

HFC M712 Mauser
HFC M712 short magazine
DEA "TFA DL-44 Kit" http://darkenergycreations.com/dl44tfakit.aspx
USB sound card http://www.ebay.com/itm/172002234399
Speakers http://www.ebay.com/itm/251456282048
CR123 holder http://www.ebay.com/itm/181790677824
Push button http://www.ebay.com/itm/251463670010

You'll notice from the build components listed, I'm planning on outfitting this blaster with sound effects, speakers etc in the grip. We'll see if I can pull it off. Just waiting for parts to start showing up.

Nice screw-undoing. Not just anyone can undo some screws...what with all the counter-clockwise turning. Excellent build so far.

willing to perform services in a dark alley that may or may not leave you satisfied for a title. GFE = 1, looks = 2, BBFS for an extra $50.

I still see more progress than that mythical AEG/GBBR SKS

Keep it up, can't wait to see the finished project!

You should check out the RPF if you haven't already. They worked out all the details and source of all the parts to the blaster.

I watched that after his Blade Runner Blaster display case build.

You're gonna have to build a custom lore appropriate case for the thing too... Better watch his video.
