How does it work? Would it be a chance to release accidentally like the Marui m870 cover release right under the receiver?

No chance, because you have to pull back on the lever.. It just makes it easier accessible + ambi re-loadable. It's really convenient with the finger, you only have to move it very slightly.

The one I've been waiting for long time, the PPS XM26, a solid and smooth piece, build better than I think. Metal body and bolt, plastic mag. But since it is using mag loading, the plastic mag design may not good for metal shells. Need to test more and taking I apart. Even attach to M4.
