Howard Leight Impact Sport making static noise

Hi all, I have a problem with my brand new Impact Sport ear pro. Every 3 or 4 seconds, there is about half a second of static noise. Is this normal?

I haven't experienced anything like that with mine. Are any of the cables on it damaged?

No, none of the cables are damaged.

I'll just send them back, just wanted to make sure I did in fact get a defective pair.
