Good call I'll wear thing socks when sizing as I'll normally be wearing thicker ones when actually hiking.

The fit is down to the design of the shoe, the moabs have a big open toe box but the intercepts are a lot narrower, almost like a climbing/scrambling shoe. If you got size X in the one and thinds were just right the same size in the other could be too tight/loose. I'm wel over getting shoes to grow into.

I've ordered a pair they're a day or two out from being in my hands. Hopefully they didn't bullshit me and send me the wrong pair.

Not sure if you really had to resurrect the thread, but I'll add this anyways.
Shoe-buy carries them as well. Decent shipping rates and they always put out coupons.

I loved mine and put them through quite a bit of hiking.
Do plan to buy another pair at some point (although, enjoying my Lowa Zephyr's right now and may pick up the non-GTX version).

I picked up a pair of these from shoe buy, they told me from what they have heard they might be discontinued. They fit like a glove on my feet and are extremely comfortable. Might order an additional pair or two to stock up as I have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable and fit properly.

I bought mine about 2 years ago, it comes out about 150 $ with tax and shipping from shoe-store.net

One thing I can complaint off is that it's kinda getting slippery where I work. More or less, it's more like everyday go boot from summer to winter, indoor and outdoor game unless heavy snow or mountain game in winter then my other Merrell will do the job.

Oh ! yeah, it's not waterproof but more like water resistant.

hope it help.
