Question improving an M3 shotgun

Hello ladies!

my question is: how would you improve a standard M3 shotgun / TM copy ?

I know there aren't any upgrades available for them anymore (are there?) in stock anywhere, so I was wondering if that would be possible to get springs for the shottie from some spring manufacturer? (right diameter/length, a bit more power)
(I'm talking about a light increase in velocity from the very low fps they got in standard version with .25)

also, is there any possibility of using tight bore barrels on them, possibly with some adaptations ?

thanks all.

I'm told that AEG springs will fit into tri-shot shotguns, but I haven't tried this, myself. Apparently those things are a pain to take apart and work on. As for the tightbore, as I understand it, there are three separate "barrels" near the end of the outer barrel. I have no idea how you'd work that into inner barrels.

The only thing I've done to my SPAS (same system as the M3) is put a stock and a flashlight on it. You can also take apart the grip and/or stock to put in some weights for a heftier feel.

AFAIK, people (ab)use them until they die then buy another one...

Maybe change the stock for easier shouldering/sighting or add a red dot or other target acquisition device.

A LASER!

ive torn mine down and sanded and lightly polished pump rails for a smoother action (it is very noticable) opened it up replaced the hop rubbers with tm versions cleaned up the nozzles of the shitty plastic moulding burs, regreased pistons/cylinders.

also for external mods is a real ATI top folding stock with shell holder (had to do alot of modding to fit but gun can be converted to orig stock in less then a minute all modding done to stock itself not gun).

That i didnt bother to test as I was very happy with what it was shooting. If you make it shoot harder its just gonna break quicker.

I bought a Crosman shottie a couple years ago and was quite impressed with it, obviously wasn't suited for just 0.20g BBs, so I went up the weight scale to see what worked best, believe it or not, 0.36g gave me the best range (past 100ft) and the tightest spread per shot! Unsure the velocity, but am sure yours can't be THAT bad!

I have a TM M3. The stupid tri-nozzle broke 2 years ago and I swapped in the internals from a crossman tri-shot. Other than longer inner barrels, haven't changed a thing. With .3g ammo I can get semi-accurate kills at about 75 feet.

PDI makes piston heads for the SPAS and the M3... not sure if it helps much compared to the stock piston heads but it's worth a try as it's not too expensive.
