My Protec A Alpha with High Cut.
My paintjob turned out better than expected!

-UTG torch on the Rail for flooding, it will get replaced with a surefire helmet light
-Ratchet NVG mount with Rhino Arm. Mount integrated with retention strap

Don't think I'm changing anything with this helmet, project complete. Working on my real MICH 2000 next.

If your going non ballistic, why not just go with a:

I got my A Alpha half cut directly from here:

http://www.protechelmet.com/products.asp?cat=14

This helmet is sweet and works great with Sordin's or Peltor's. Definitely recommend it.

Me sporting it at Claybank back in May.

Karma_, that is totally badass dude, nice!

The Base Jump does not impress me to be honest...

- The Base Jump’s shell is molded plastic instead of carbon-fiber used in the Bump.
- The standard NVG shroud is molded into the helmet shell, as opposed to the optional VAS shroud you’d add to the Bump.
- A new under-the-chin, single chinstrap option that offers a bit more comfort over the split, military-style chinstrap for non-tactical use.

Personally, I like to have the option/ability to change my NVG mount if needed - there are always new and better mounts being released. I also don't like the single chin strap - I found the original OpsCore split, military-style chinstrap to be much better and more secure.

There are also two Base Jump models:

Sports Model - $142 US

Military Model - $239 US

The Sport version has the uner-the-chin single chinstrap, the omission of NVG bungees and no Picatinny adapter.

In comparison, a AALPHA-HALF with a Picatinny rail and a OpsCore VAS shroud - $158 US

Isn't the Protech padded fit where as the dial thing is on the OpsCore?

lol, thanks guys.

Yeah, the Protec is fitted but not a downside at all, as long as you get the right size, which is easy, just go into a skate shop and try on the Ace helmet.

The Ops-Core is sweet though so I don't discourage that.

Brit pot with my little personal touch.
Kinda messed up on the front skull thing though...Too bad because I'm not starting over again.
