put a inner barrel inside supressor question

sorry if this was a repost of another thread
i was thinking about how suppressors on airsoft make it less accurate (i think), so is it possible to put an separate inner barrel in and make it aligned so in can go through it or will it cause some problems?

BTW, what in thinking of is making a pop bottle styled suppressor (make it look like it a poor man's suppressor) but i need a way to put some foam in it...

don't know about the suppressor messing with accuracy, I'll let someone else chime in on that.

Why would you put a separate inner barrel in? You get a longer one for your AEG which gets covered by the suppressor. simple.

the suppressor doesn't touch the bb in anyway to affect it's accuracy. It only dampen the noise as the bb leaves the barrel.

A proper suppressor won't affect your accuracy.

A scabbed on pop bottle and foam won't work and is really a joke.

Don't bother mentioning XX movie with Billy Bob where one was used either.

well, there are times i don't want to have a suppressor on, so i want a separate barrel so i can just take it off, maybe i will buy the package that have both fit flash hider and suppressor

i thought i was watching CSI when i thought of this... i want to put it on a pistol and make instead of poor man's suppressor, its a suppressor that defies logic or something in the same manner...

dont even try to have a separate barrel in the suppressor. it will never work well. there is no way to make it stable, short of welding the barrels together...by then you could have just used one :P

Unless I misunderstood you in which case tonnes of people have two barrels one for supressor and one without. Although they DO NOT do this to make their gun "silent" but rather just to make it more accurate or more compact.

Your thinking on the accuracy issue is correct, being that the chamber inside the suppressor is larger than the inner barrel, it can cause turbulence from the escaping air, but honestly it's so little that you'd never notice it. Maybe in a grouping at a very long range but most AEGs probbaly wouldn't even have an effective range long enough to see it.

The only way a suppressor can make your gun inaccurate is if you dont screw it on properly/tightly enough causes it to be crooked which causes the bb's to hit the outer edge of the hole. Or you get a manufacture defect in yours making it crooked out of the box.

There actually are suppressor bottles for the airsoft market, if anyone recalls madbull came out with the pop bottle suppressor/loudener it screwed onto any 14mm thread and on the end of it you screwed on your pop bottle. either you drilled a tiny hole in the end for the bb to pass through or you cut the bottle in half making it an amplifier.

Like stated before there's no way for you to have a separate barrel in the suppressor the best you can do is for example a M4 if you have one of those 2 piece outer barrels, so if want a CQB platform but with a suppressor on you can do that. Atleast the inner barrel is passing through the suppressor but if you want to take off the suppressor you can screw back on the barrel extension making it a full length M4. Either option is the same thing just one has a suppressor and one doesn't

Here's an example with my old SCAR

Inner Barrel

Inner Barrel being hidden with outer Barrel Extension

Inner Barrel hidden by suppressor (no barrel extension)

Inner Barrel hidden by barrel extension and suppressor (mind you the inner barrel ends at the flashhider)

This is the best you can do, unless you got a super computer that can align everything to the .00000001 of a mm then yeah it'd probably work.

ok, how bout putting a longer inner barrel on it but how bout putting a seperate outer barrel on it? is it doable or just scrap it?
if i'm still going for the seperate inner, i was hopinig that if it is or not illegal to make a suppresser my self, i need a way to suspend it inside the suppresser...

having a separate inner barrel within the suppressor won't really work. Having to align that second inner barrel to the main inner barrel will be a nightmare and probably won't work. Just use a longer inner barrel and use a barrel extension to hide it. And just remove the extension when you want to use the suppressor.

If you really want to be able to switch from short inner and outer barrel to long inner + suppressor, your best bet might be to have two hopup units with short/long barrels that you can switch out. You probably wouldn't be able to execute this in the field but if you have an M4-type receiver it would be a fairly quick option.
