Puxing 888k switching to FM radio mode

So i just came back from a 24 hour game, and on the way home, we had a little convoy of cars comming home, so we were using our radios to talk to each other. Part way through the drive my 888 started switching to FM radio mode without any button pushes. I had it sitting out on my lap. It was doing it without the PTT headset plugged in, and with it plugged in. Tried turning it off and on again a few times, nothing seemed to make it stop.

The only thing I can think of, is maybe the batteries are pretty much dead (though the battery gauge says full battery), because it was on for almost the whole 24 hours. I am currently charging it to see if that will make a difference. Has anyone had something like this happen before? I've only had the radio for about 2 weeks.

I'm not really sure what happened here, but after charging the battery it was still happening. I tried turning on and off radio mode as per the instructions, and it just stopped switching into it on it's own.

Is the battery fully charged, seated on the back and locked. I noticed these batteries can look like they are attached fully and they do funky things with the radio when 3/4 locked in. Make sure the battery is fully pushed down and locked on all corners first.

There an option to listen to radio when playing. It will cut out when receiving incoming and turn back on to the tunes in 3 seconds.

I think you press the Menu and then the lower PTT on the left side to turn it on / off.

Know this is a little off topic from the original thread but does anyone know how I can go about programming my 888 myself, I hear there is a computer program out there that does it but I didn't find out what it was called. Any help? Thanks :-)

There is a program...but you will need a sync cable too.
I found them easy enough to program manually...takes about 15mins of punching in the numbers.
