Question for the Snipers

I am looking into Sniping and I was wondering what kind of rig would fit nicely under a ghillie and not cause any discomfort from the magazines when prone?

Then just put the pouches on with zipties with the openings facing your back. Easy to get when prone

ghillie suit doesn't need to cover your front
and it's easier to get mags off your chest than your waist when prone

I used an old CF webbing in the past. Now I use a RRV. I keep my pouches low profiles. I load myrifle mags on the side, so when prone, I prop myself on my elbows and I have easy access to my mags.

If you wear a belt, you need to keep the pouches on your rear, leaving the front and side clear, as you will often crawl and rest on your side. Having bulky pouches will make it painfull or impossible to rest on that position.

I'm also not a fan of drop legs. It get tangled all over the place and for the same reason as the belt, your sides need to be clean of gear.

You should carry all your stuff up your body and on your back. If possible, avoir walking in full ghillie. Wear it only on the last phase of the stalk.
