An Intellect 9.6V gives a ridiculous rate of fire more akin to an Ingram than an M16. Two people I sold M15A2 carbines to have the batteries and they sound noobishly fast on automatic. I have a video somewhere, need to digitize it still. I'll post it when I have a chance.

Intellect 8.4V 1400 mAh is more than adequate for a stock gun.

Hell, I upgraded my TM SR16 and still only use an 8.4. 3300 mAh I believe, but it turns it juuuuust fine. My original 1300 mAh works, but that battery is on its last legs.

For a Intellect 9.6v 1400 mAH tho, don't you need to mod the foregrip? Was thinking about getting this but its Ni-CD tho

You've obviously made up your mind already on which battery voltage you want. So what exactly is the point of this post again?

No, a stock CA handguard does not need modifications for a 9.6V 2/3A double stick mini pack.

The advice is 8.4 volts. Follow the advice.
If you refuse, well, like many others we'll hear about your gun problems sooner or later.

not to hijack the thread or anything...

But youre saying that a 9.6 volt would cause havoc on his rifle. Are there any upgrades he could do so the rifle could support a 9.6v? Where would a 9.6v battery be ideal?

You did hijack the thread.
It's plain Electricity 101, think for a second.
If a gun is designed to use 8.4 volts, the motor, wires, fuse, etc is meant for that voltage... what happens to the equipment if you decide the engineers were wrong?
