It's a JG. It's pretty creaky, when the lower receiver is out of the gun it's hilariously chiclone feeling. I put a lot of JB weld on the seams of the outer barrel to keep it from flexing so much

. I have an aimpoint M2 for it already but I just got that visionking so I wanna try it out this sunday.

The rail I had to get from Spartan Imports, it's a CA OEM part. Expensive as hell and super hard to find now.

This is my end goal for it:

I want a g3 build so bad... already have too many
have that OSW sitting in my basement waiting for a DG kit that will probably never happen.

Oh nice, I've got a JG as well (feels more solid than the TM imo), though mine's not that creaky, even after being tossed 15 feet from a bad tumble :P

End goal is pretty similar to one of the G3 builds I have in mind, since those are Norwegian AG3's in the pics. Just need to grab one of those B&T styled full length rails when I find one. Also need to pick up a spare JG for the AG3 and a G&G for a PTR91 build when I have the spare $$.

I've got a teammates old-as-balls CA here, the whole thing is metal. Makes me jelly. It's built like a tank.

The CA SAR's are so damn hard to the find... I haven't found a retailer anywhere with any leftover stock.

Not a fan of used guns either so the next best thing are probably the G&G's with the metal bodies, but that's a PTR91 clone and not a G3. Internals need to swapped out and you'll need a donor gun for parts if you want a full length build... Too bad CA discontinued the G3...

Only the uppers of the G&Gs are metal, by the way.

Also, every part of the original CAs are still available, I can get them through Spartan. If you want some stuff PM me.

Yep, like I said it's pretty much a PTR91 clone (would get one for real steel if it was legal...).

I actually don't mind the one piece polymer lower, its probably stronger than two piece lower receiver and grip combo. The grip doesn't really connect to a lot of material and really relies on the screws connecting it to the gearbox, which will probably strip over time if you're not careful.

Oh and Red Orchestra is awesome, I need to get it when it goes on sale. That free weekend got me hooked.

Oh that's great to hear, no complete G3's though? Would probably grab a CA cocking tube and maybe a couple of other parts when I decide to grab G&G (need to check and confirm if they're compatible).

I want to build a msg90 or ptr91/hk91... so smexy.

The JG from TA would probably work well enough as a base, I have a hookup for tm components so I might be able to get psg1 front end components for an msg build.

Finished the old CA... just waiting on an MP5 sliding stock. I have the end cap and the buttpad... but the damn thing didn't come with the arms

Front wired, nukeFET hidden behind the magwell, a lot of dremeling was needed.
