Painted L96

Here's my l96 that I just finished up today. Used krylon camo paints and was very pleased.. Not as stunning as some of the painted guns i've seen on the forum, but the camo works. Definitely looks more clear and less busy in person..

Well I haven't ever really painted a gun in woodland camo before, But i personally think woodland camo design on a m4 looks tacky. But if you mean you want to paint you gun woodland colors, or a design that would fit in the woods, than I can help you out..

Hi ! dude, Thanks for reply. really appreciate. reason I want to paint in woodland cos I play in green term and wear woodland BDU, I think, it's tacky too, so any suggestion for the color will go on the woodland BDU. Thanks in advance.

well if you would like to paint it like I did then here's what i did.

1. Tape areas that shouldn't be painted, or areas that you would prefer unpainted.
2. Clean gun with a little rubbing alcohol to remove dirt/greese.
3. Wipe the alcohol off with a damp cloth
4. Give the gun a few lite layers of krlyon Camo Tan. Let this coat dry for at least 15 mins, and then continue to add lite coats untill gun is completely covered to your liking. Allow this coat to dry for a few hours, or over night.
5. Take some long thin grass (I used the fake long plastic grass from micheals art store because it stays in form much better) and hold the grass up against the gun. I then use krylon camo OD green and vertically along the grass in different spots.
6. Then repeat the last step but use krylon camo brown

Let it dry over night and the next day remove the tape and there you go, nice camo suited for the woods (i also play in mostly wooded areas).

Hot damn, nice job there; I had always been skeptical of that paint but now I see that it's not as bad as I've been told.

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys!

So I took it out on the field today, and It seemed to work great. The camo actually blends in incredibly well with the tree color.
