I really enjoy them. I think they're really comfortable to hold, although
they might look like the waffle edges would be uncomfortable when
you squeeze the grip...but they aren't!

Oh yeah, the slide kit they sent to me is worth 50$ more than the slide
I ordered. Sadly it's not for the right gun. :/

I've been working on a sketch for my 4.3 based off photos I took and manipulated
in & drew on some stuff and voilá. This is my vision! It shouldn't be difficult at all
to bring it to life. Note that the slide is the original plastic version and will not be
a part of the end result.

Doing some for my 5.1 as well.

Any thoughts on my 4.3 vision. Too boring? Wanted it to feel and
look tactical but still have some accents that really set it off.
Not 100% on the cmore.

Anyways. Spent this day on fitting the GunsmithBros slide onto the
oem lower 5.1 frame. There was some filing I had to do. It's not
finished but it's on it's way there. Thoughts? Enjoy the photos.

There is one problem, which I haven't looked into yet but I will.
I'm almost certain it has to do with the leaf spring but just in case
I'll ask. It works great to just cock the hammer back and release it
with the trigger...but when I put the slide on and load a bb with it,
the hammer does not release when pulling the trigger. If I take out
the mag, and sorta slap it in with some minor force. THEN I can get
a proper hammer response. What gives?

I'm guessing you mean the sketch I made? Thanks a lot anyhow!

Now onto the problem. I have been looking up fixes for the good ol'
double trigger / auto problem that has to do with the sear. But it
doesn't seem like it is that problem? I hope someone could chime in
on this. I have stripped down the 5.1 several times, checking the
sear etc. Here is the problem in images.

EDIT: Also included my leaf spring.

Got a few more parts for my 5.1 which I think will be a black / silver
build with red accents. I'm a bit sad that there aren't any proper mag
releases in red except some crappy ones from AIP and 5KU. Anyone
knows of others? Got this hammer spring housing from 5KU + a
thumb rest from FATMAN yesterday, so I proceeded to install them
and also fiddle with the issue of the trigger / hammer strut / w/e
problem I have without getting any further of fixing it.

I'm not going to install any sight rails or optics on this one, but I
really wanted a thumb rest so this is how it ended up.

I have no idea what to do about the incorrect slide set I got from eHobbyasia. I really want
to send it back, but I will have to pay for the shipping...twice. And they don't have anything
I want in stock. UGH. Hopefully I will be able to sell the Shooters Design XDM slide set to
someone.

I have ordered a new compensator from prog4(Gunsmith Bros) and a clean slide(infinity)
from Shooters Design + 150% spring set from CRW airsoft. I normally don't like the branding
infinity, but in this case it will probably flow better since the cuts on the compensator are
straight and there were no such cuts on any 4.3 slide that I have seen in stock.

Also received a parcel from SAPH with a cocking handle +. Didn't work with 4.3.
What also came in that package was a new steel disconnector. I already knew 5ku's quality
was bad and this was equal to the knowledge. I'm still doing fitment work to it, but it's half
of the fun sometimes.

I've finally gotten reply by A-Airsoft. It just seems he/they have a lot of stuff to do so it's
just a matter of where on the list I am to get answers. The images and video clips have
been forwarded to their techie.

So yeah. I got the black STI slide I wanted. However, there's some issues with it...that
I'm not very happy about since I paid for a premium slide, meaning it should be a drop
in fit. If I wanted to fit stuff I'd go and buy myself a Guarder slide. Check the images.

Also, the compensator was a mistake. I was too quick on the order button...so I'll just
have to order another one with a full profile instead of that 5.1 cut out or whatever I
should call it.

Also seems like the Nine Ball lower frame has some issues. It also has to be
fitted to the slides. At this point I just want to have a gun to plink with.
The 5.1 is just awesome in comparison. It racks like a dream. Only thing I have an
issue with is the hammer not getting in position every time. Just a leaf spring issue.

Finally got the C-More replica, and I'm impressed by the quality.
Really nice! However I'm not sure why they send a guarantee
note which would go to the real manufacturer if sent? Ah well.
Came with 3 allen keys to open or tighten any screws.

Polymer accessory rail looks pretty tight, but since it's cheap
it needs some modifications to look alright. misaligned screw
holes and...some molding issues. But I enjoy doing stuff like
that.

Hope you enjoy the photos.

There we are. The tactical project is creeping along.
a prog4 stainless outer barrel oxided in gold which
is said to bring even 'dead' slides back to life.
For fun I compared the OEM 5.1 outer barrel with
the new one. Oh, the long dust cover slide was
purchased a few months ago from someone in
my home country for some coin. Shooters Design
(BAR-STO PRECISION).

Also the prog4 hop adjustment wheel as well as the steel
part it works along with. Not to forget their stronger
and longer bbu spring.

Next up is something for the open project. Haven't
decided what to get first. Controls, slideset or
advance frame. Decisions decisions.

Enjoy creeping my thread.
