G&P 870 Medium barrel set inner barrel

I recently received my G&P 870 medium barrel set for the maruzen 870 air cocking shotgun, not the gas shell ejecting one. I have no problem changing the foregrip and outer barrel etc. But I have no idea how to get the smaller existing inner barrel out. There seems to be a small semi-circular disc around the bottom of the inner barrel. I tried prying it off but I couldn't. If anyone has any suggestions or fixes for me that would be awesome.

Thanks

Mike

You have to take the body apart. You'll need to get a special Anti tamper Torx bit (canadian tire) Be careful of the trigger mechanism. It a little complicated.

I usually don't take the whole body apart. When you pull down the outer barrel, you will see a small pin what goes through the two half-body. You have to remove the hop-up plumber and the hop-up spring first, then push this pin out. Then you can pull the inner barrel and some other parts out. Be caotious the hop-up rubber fall easily.

Sorry to backpack off your questions. Can you, or anyone, explain the process for removing the front grip to change it from the wood look to the black grip? I've got the same assembly but can't figure out how to take off the grip.

Is your gun apart or still together? The front grip is just held in by friction to the rails. You'll need to remove the lower shell tube. Its threaded on and when you look inside the grip you'll see the metal rails are fitted into the grip. You just need to wriggle it loose or use something that you can gently pry with and it will come free.

As a point of reference, the stock pump on my CA870 Charger is too small to fit on the G&P Long front set. The barrel diameter on the G&P sets is larger, so the stock pump would not fit on - I could not get it on the lower shell tube..

Really? I have the long set on my CA870 and the only fitment problem I had was that the lower tube was a lttle oval and it took me a couple tries to tap it round again. After that no problem.

Don't pry the grip off the pump rails, that will bend the bars and thats not good. All you have to do is take off the bottom tube, and then just pull the grip downwards and it comes off really easily.
