A momentary Thread Jack, if I may...

Arms Cadre? - I'm currently laughing my cleanly shaved ball sack off.

This must be the "New Army" termonology I've been hearing about. Met up with a former cadet recently who had just graduated his SQ out of Gagetown & he used "It's a New Army" now, reference on me, resulting in my throwing my beer at him, followed by several minutes of sarcasm & profanity.

They were "Weapon Techs" fifteen years ago, or "Fitters & Turners", i.e. they "Fit" the wrong parts in perfectly good weapons & "Turn" them into garbage.

No doubt these twenty something corporals with no field time, who have never seen a Thermold Magazine, were parroting what some old fart lifer was bitching about.

Or maybe not - who knows.

You were there, not me.

No flak on you, though, nothing personal - merely felt the urge to rant.

Carry on.

Nothing to see here.

Arms Cadre... Yeah, right...

Ronan... if you're looking for a "Buffalo Shot" of yours truly, that'll be $20.00 at the door & a two drink minimum.

...now it's a race to see who will use that little witizm as their new sig.

And... they're off!!

Tanio Koba presented their GBB C8 replica at COOL Style TOY 2.0 (Japanese toy gun related fair). Basically, users have had opportunity to test fire the gun (there were slight problems with full auto) and were generally full of praises (if text on taniokoba.co.jp is believed). Anyhow, prototype can be seen below. At least it is aesthetically pleasing, hopefully they will iron out the problems. Click to supersize.

That looks more like the interior of a real AR, so much so, that even a "firearms expert" for the CBSA or even the CFC might think it could easily be modified (with unregulated parts) to fire live rounds. It's far more similar to the real thing (internal-wise) than any other airsoft gun I've seen. It would take some parts, and the body likely wouldn't hold up, but it's intriguing......

Yeah, especially since the auto sear there.... well from what i understand looks awfully like the real one... I suppose time will tell.

Oh and gryph, it is too early to say that, since we have no hands on preformance info yet, and this is only a prototype version.

I'm just going by the video and the complete absence of any noticable recoil whatsoever. I cranked my SP up to 170 psi on Sunday and while it chewed my brass parts up (I've got stainless ones on order already ) the recoil was unbelievable. Equal to or greater than a real M16.

The quote about the unreliable full auto above is also telling, and to me certainly not unexpected.
