Magpul PTS ACR: Remington SBR Project

Ok FINALLY finished the major mods on my ACR SBR Project:

-Front flip-BUIS removed and replaced with rail
-Shortened barrel to 10.5" with gasblock tucked into RIS
-Bushmaster ACR RIS
-PTS trademarks removed
-Upper receiver sprayed coyote brown (not a perfect match, but oh well!)
-Shell deflector sprayed black

Will be going with an AAC trilug soon and possibly a mock mock silencer option.

Comments appreciated.

Looks nice indeed, I still prefer the 14.5 barrel

That's cool! I really like what you've done with it.

Which flashlight is that by the way?

Very nice!!!

Light looks like a Surefire M300A. Haven't seen any FDE clones of that... is it a real one, Noveske?

Thanks! It's a RS Surefire M300A. I believe there is a clone, but the finish is gold, or it could be the 600C. I can't recall now.

Some more pics:

-12.5" custom barrel
-Bushmaster polymer handguard

I prefer the SBR version.

Great looking build, and I actually like the mix-matched coyote brown paint

I just used an old generic MOE rail. Heavy modification? hmm, depends what you mean by heavy i suppose. Required me to cut off a chunk of the existing receiver and used putty/cold weld to stick the rail piece on. So cutting & filing and cold weld, then paint over top.

Did you get the Rail system for the ACR customized at GWS? haha is that why it was left there for so long? or did you do the fitting yourself?

No they only did the paint for me (which wasn't even a 100% match). And the experience was terrible. I had to wait 2 months just for an upper to be painted and not to mention he lost 2 of my screws. I will never go back to GWS again.
