Why do some players have red tape on their mags?

Of course, bright tape on mags helps if you're the kind of person who drops mags as they move and need to locate them easily.

for that price you should purchase a $30 GPS dog location device for each mag.. if dropped then you pull out your GPS and go geocache them back

Many countries have used tape on their foregrips to identify what side they are fighting with, especially in civil war like situations where both sides are wearing similar (or the exact same) uniforms and using the same equipment.

i tape all my mags not because look or anything like that but i run a mini-team and with 5 people's gear all at one house to make it easy each person has different colour tape on each of their guns mags etc
