I figured something was going to be said about Mattel, and the rumors that spread 'bout Armalite contracting mattel to manufacture their M16s..

Well, they weren't true. And... neither is half the bullshit you hear about AKs being godly.

Sorry dude...I was talking about the real thing, not airsoft.

And you are? The thread police? Or should I say the "thread sergeant major"?

Last time I looked this was a forum for discussing guns, not a forum for discussing whatever you approve.

I prefer the M4 over the AK for a few reasons. Alot more custom parts can be added making it the way you want it althought some people go over board and put flashlights on for outdoor use....... And I love vertical grips, I just find it SO much more comfortable!

I like the M-110 over all of those guns :P

Personally, I just like the look of the "Armalite-type" guns over all others.

There are really 2 main reasons why people use m4's:

1) yes. the looks, the media, and just general influence of the gun from movies to real life authentic issued equipment.

2) I would say this is more important to me. There are a vast amount of 3rd party manufactuerers making internal and external parts to this model. competition drives prices down and you're guarenteed on your investment should anything breaks. This is why I'd do alot of research on another model before buying one because once something breaks, it could take along time to get it fixed.

It is popular because it makes our eyes orgasm. And our hands. And us. It's sexy. Unless you don't belong on the bandwagon, then why are you reading this thread?
