Did you darken the stock on your m1a1?

Excellent collection. I've just started to build mine.....you are correct that this is NOT an overnight process.

Do you skirmish with this kit? If so, how does hold up for you? You are using weapons that are quite basic compared to the tricked out M4s and MP5s you see. Although I was never quite sure why you would want to stick flashlight and laser on the end of your rifle. Kind of just screams "Hey! Here I am! Come and shoot me!"

What would I put in it though? sleeping bag?......maby for overnight games. I just ordered a shovel/shovel cover thats now going to go on my gear which is going to be heavy.
shave kit, rations for 48 hours, "ammo", maybe a shirt and some socks.
just check out I think it's www.greendevils.com (again not sure right now) and check out all of the links in their reviews, you'll find that kind of weird period stuff on one of the sites in that gallery.

I'm not an expert but like Yeoman said should work well, I've seen some info about what WW2 paras carried and they sure had alot of gear (in ww2 terms). You may want to get deactivated/repo grenades, jump knife, rope etc... to festoon yourself. Its the details that make an impression real, that goes for any impression even one without a historical context. Even if you don't put period items in your pack use it for whatever you need for the game.

Nice Erick_james, I really like your kit, do you have pictures where you are wearing everything. Also how much did you pay?

Yeah man I'd like to see some pics of you all kitted up too. That'd be neat, it's one thing to see the stuff all laying out, another to see someone in action with it.

I pray for the day when Airsoft can ascend to the level of seriousness and dedication that the Re-inactors have acheived in the US, then it will finaly be what I always hoped it would be, with squads of players like Eric here pitted against Waffen SS troops wearing Pea dot, smocks and trousers. alas it's only a fantasy, and likely always will be.
