So I picked up my opscore bump, but I have a few questions;
Is there a Velcro kit you can purchase for em? As well as so e of the gnarly accessories for the ach rails? Where do you pick them up at? Also a war bungee kit? |

You can get a Velcro set from Ops-core but it is pricy, the better bet is to just buy some 3m Velcro strips. A cover like the First Spear one or the TYR Tactical one is also an option if you want more Velcro real estate.
As for the war bungee I got mine direct from War Sport International and the shipping was only $6. Accessories wise there is a a lot of stuff. A few examples are the Princeton Tec MPLS lights (charge, switch, point, remix pro), the Ops-core contour mount, Smith optics boogie regulator rail mount kit, Peltor comtac rail adapters, Petzl STRIX helmet light, the list goes on. You can get most of this stuff in country, Rampart International has the Princeton Tec line and the contour mount. CTOMS has the Ops-core rail accessories, and Oneshot Tactical has the Boogie regulator kit. Last edited by OM3GA; February 19th, 2013 at 16:57.. |

Great helmet and setup you're putting together, but IMO you should ditch the Exoshield. I've used both the Revision Exoshield and the Smith Optics Boogie Regulators and they both attract condensation like you wouldn't believe. I've used several different home made anti fog techniques as well as commercial/professional anti fog (C-Clear and Revision wipes), and nothing can keep the condensation from building for longer than an hour, hot or cold. I don't get any real fog build up, but you get "sweaty lens" which blurs your vision just as bad. The SO Boogies actually work better because they have some ventilation, but even still, this ventilation only works if you're always moving or you have quite the breeze going. I have the helmet ARC adapters and they are comfortable to a point, but because of the kind of foam used on both goggles, they can chaff the face and then you end up with an irritated goggle line around both of your eyes.
Rambling aside they just become a pain in the ass and you'll probably end up changing to ESS or SO OTWs like I did. Smith Optics OTWs are probably the best set of goggles you can buy. Lower profile than most ESS goggles and you have a built in turbo fan with two settings, and it is dead silent. Best part: one year warranty. Very easy and comfy to use with a helmet and they have almost as wide a field of view as the Exos or Boogies.

i need my helmet ASAP, on that note i have a few questions, i feel like an idiot asking them but i want to know. the V-lights and manta strobes if there any purpose to the colors, like do they have a certain meaning
i'm getting both v-lights and a manta strobe ( replicas i know ) but i was just thinking about getting a blue manta and just 2 green v-lights ? so before i do i just want to know if there is any meaning behind the lights or is it just kinda your own style ? thanks a lot!

The lights are generally used to signify dead using red, and blue or green as friendly.
Blue/green generally is placed at the back of the helmet so you minimize your "signature" in the dark as generally you will be facing your enemy (unless you are flanked). I personally do not like doing this as even with it at the back of your head it can really give you away in the dark. Red lights generally go on top, but I have seen them on the sides and back as well. Again, this is usually to signify being dead/out of play. I have seen the odd CQB game in which one team will wear a certain color light and the other team uses another one it order to help with PID. This doesn't happen often though. The general trend is as described above. Hope this answers your question.

hey Dong, where did you get those ear pro brackets? I was thinking of buying MSA sordins and haven't had any luck in finding the brackets for my helmet.
