You can count the TPA even if you cut the wires off.
Alternatively, cut 2 windings off and unwrap the last one.
And just buy a $2 wire gauge.
Have you rewound motors before?

I will take this motor to sayal to see what wire fits best. I will follow your advice to count the last winding.
I have never rewound motors before. I would not try it on a AEG but PTW seems interesting.

Here's what I just heard

"I've never rebuilt a car engine before, I wouldn't try it on a lawn mower, but I'm going to rebuilt the engine on my bugatti veyron"

Now that's an exaggeration, but you don't understand the basics of what you're about to attempt. You need to know where motors fail, how they fail, why they've failed, and what you did wrong in a rewind to make it fail.
You don't want to attempt to rewind a $20 aeg motor, but you're perfectly willing to scrap a $200 ptw motor that needs to be built to significantly higher scrutiny?

You should REALLY follow my advice here, and try to make a G&P M160 perform at least as well or better than a tienly GT30000 before even attempting to rewind a ptw motor.

I'm not saying you should never do it, but you should *REALLY* have some practice on cheaper motors before you wreck an expensive one.

If your motor requires a rewind, it is also going to require a session on the lathe to clean upo the comm. If the damage is severe enough, the comm may need to be replaced, and this is where DIY abruptly ends, and specialists begin.

You can do it, or send the armature to Tony and spend <$200 and have it done right. Or spend about $300 and get the whole motor serviced correctly.

As an aside, I have handled maybe 2-300 Systema motors, and never once seen a broken winding, as in the wire sticking out of the armature structure. I have handled perhaps 10-20 FCC motors and seen it on at least 5-6 of them.

Is this motor Systema? If so, fix it. If it is FCC, use it as a fridge magnet, it is good for little else.

Yes, it is FCC 2.5 and it does have a wire sticking out of the armature. The fridge magnet it is then.

Have you had a chance to deal with FCC 3.0 motors?

Piece of shit. Its Systema or GTFO. If the FCC motor was in the $20-50 dollar price range it would be a reasonable purchase as it is disposable. However it's marketed "as good as systema" but is no name brand quality.

I have yet to see a FCC motor of any kind survive beyond a calender year of regular biweekly use. If you are too cheap to get genuine systema buy a Celsius motor. Of all the clones they are the best made, from my experience on the clone TW platform. Expect lower performance, and higher heat.

I have seen exactly 2 of the 3.0. Better built at first glance than the 2.5, but not in the same league as one of Tony's 490's. There is no better motor available, but they are pricey. There are a couple for sale now in the EE (unless they got snapped up) for $500.

Now, nobody buys an FCC motor for a build, that is retarded. So, that means it must have been to replace a Systema motor that was dead? If that is the case, send the motor to England and for about $300, it can be rewound, serviced and have the pinion set correctly, and you can chose fixed or adjustable pinion height.

Best way to go.

Question for you guy's,

as most ppeople say, the 10.5 inner barrel with tac hopup is the best thing around...

Are you running short inner with a 14.5 outter ?

I have a 14.5 fcc inner... On my carbine upper... And have better results with my cqb upper....

Any problems running cqb inner in the carbine upper ?

I'm running a 14.5" orga in my 16" barrel
And a 10.5" in my MK18

Get the same range and accuracy across all platforms AND my kriss vector with it's 5" barrel

I'd say the difference is in your hop roller or adjuster packing
You won't have any issues running a short barrel in a longer outer barrel though, systema runs a 14.5" in their M16

I nearly get mugged every time i show up at a game with Brad he wants his PDI short barrel back. Just need to distract him with payday bars.

I used to run a short inner on a carbine length outer to keep the inner barrel free from debris, and gunk, and water when I go knee to waist deep in water and muck. Didnt notice any problems.

Lol I just bought a PTW with a tac motor (verified) to replace my other ptw with a dead motor. Simply because I couldn't justify 500$ just for the motor when I could get the whole thing plus more mags for like 12-1500$ lol

Brilliant financial advice. When you already own dozens of mags, 6 cylinders, 8 batteries, just go spend $1500 on a gun with junk you don't need because a motor is too expensive to justify.

I am sure though that one day you might need that spare gearbox, maybe if you neglect maintenance and expend a half a million BBs.

A motor is still cheaper and a better option.

So, your PTW with a dead motor is a pile of spare parts with little you will ever need. Brilliant.
