drop leg holster for TM high cappa 5.1 gold match

hey guys, so I need a drop leg holster for my TM high cappa 5.1 gold match. I have a condor drop leg holster now but I keep hitting the mag release when im moving around, and half the time i need the gun there's no mag in it and i get shot. very frustrating. luckily i have managed to find the mags every time so far. a few weeks ago the gun actually fell out and we had the whole group on a search mission to find it for almost an hour. im fed up and want something like a blackhawk serpa holster, but i can't find the one im looking for and its driving me nuts! price is not an issue since mags are so expensive, it will pay for itself since i won't lose mags all the time (or the gun for that matter). if anyone knows of a link or something that will take me straight to the one i need that would be amazing, i've been at this for hours already, i even have the part # but i still can't find one. thanks in advance.

Search for black hawk and 1911 holster and find the one that matches yours best. I don't know if there's any variation of 1911 and hi-cappa's that make a difference with serpas.

Doesn't the condor have a retention strap? I would recommend using that if it is there. The draw may not be as quick, but a slow draw is better than no blaster. I was also able to fit my hi-cappa gold into a safariland 6004-536. With a light. It's a bit snug, but it's in there.

The Blackhawk! 1911 serpa holster works with my TM hi-capa 5.1 after some filing

Looks ugly, but retention is fine if a little tight. You have to file it because the lower frame on a hicapa is wider than a standard 1911 because it's a double-stack design. However, if your lower has a rail instead of the "classic" curved frame, you will have to take off A LOT more material to fit to the point I didn't even bother trying to fit my 4.3 in it.
If you want a serpa and have some files and about an hour of your time, it's definitely an option.

I checked on the site and there's a few 1911 variants that might make a difference. Most don't have a problem with a 5.1 but the 4.3 is a no-go for most serpas.

Serpa with hi-capa is a stop-gap solution. The trigger guard area will eventually crack.

With my hi-capa 5.1, I run a g-code sti 2011 holster. Fits like a glove. And they're on sale this weekend too.

Thanks for all the replies guys, as I said my biggest issue is loosing mags, so I guess I would ask how the holsters you've all recommended are for keeping the mag release away from pressure points when I'm moving around in ninja stealth mode.

Are you left handed or right handed?

The holster retention button is far enough away from the mag release so it shouldn't be touching it at all.

How are you drawing your weapon so that it's hitting the mag release? It should be straight up and toward your chest and right in front for ready to fire. If it is due to a weak spring and it's being depressed too easily while in the condor holster, you can buy an after-market one that is stronger.

Serpa holsters lock into the trigger guard to prevent an assailant from accessing the trigger (if the operator isn't paying attention). The benefit of a serpa is that it does not have any of the clutter that a condor one has that might bump into the mag release.

Personally I think that condor holsters need to be condemned because I am too clumsy to draw my weapon through that damn strap.

I have lost a 1911 magazine in a sERPA in dense bush before. The branches pushed the detach button on my behalf.

The G-code holster shroud covers the mag-release button entirely.

Im right handed. the problem isnt when I draw its when i move. theres been many times now when i draw the gun and the mag is back at the spawn (three times during the last game i played). my buddie is an avid 1911 user and he has a blackhawk serpa v3 for his 1911's but my gun does not fit it. i guess it could if i filed it, as has been mentioned here.
