What I don't want to do is give someone a bunch of cash/parts/my gun to make something maybe someday.

If I want a new AEG I want it shipped when I pay.

And I for sure don't want a rate of fire that empties a low-cap in less than a second.

Trigger response is more pull length/time and cycle speed. You can have ridiculous trigger response at only 25 - 30 RPS, which is extremely adequate for any platform.

. That, and fields will begin limiting/banning high RPS guns. Because not only is it not practical, but even the hardiest players don't like to catch an extra 20 rounds for no reason.

If you're going to build custom guns, you better have something that no one else has, because I have access to crack gun doctors and machinists already, so unless you're just gonna be another good gun doc, then what are you really doing? Was your plan to make your own original parts, or to just build the gun for someone off of what's out there already?

The hole in the Gun Doc lineup is the one ILLusion left.

Big shoes to fill.

And all those aluminum alloys that everyone uses is a different mixture of potmetal? Potmetal has aluminum in it, some formulations are more brittle than others.
I know very well but one can dream and hope right?

ILLusion's gone? Where'd he go? I'd say e-luder fills it pretty good though, no?

Yeah, Illusion was good, mostly it's a larger understanding of gas and custom gas systems where we are down on well known, or super talented, gun docs. As far as spring and electric goes, we have plenty of great docs available.

Seems like real life caught up with ILLusion.

I can't say anything about e-luder's builds since I haven't seen them. From his output it seems like he hasn't progressed as far as ILLusion had yet so he's not quite as clinical; but he's also much newer on the scene.

Personnaly, I have no interest in RPS.
Because real guns don't take .08 seconds to fire off a shot.
My M14 fires off a shot in around .03 seconds, which is a substantially noticeable difference.

Also, trigger pull is a large factor in trigger response. If it takes you .04 seconds to pull the trigger back to the point where the gun STARTS to fire, that really sucks. Versus a 3mm trigger pull into a button switch that only takes .01 second.
