G&G EBR mag needs to be rocked forward

My G&G EBR won’t feed the mags unless you rock them forward. It simply won’t stay in place on its own.

Anyone found a fix to this issue?

I haven’t tried shimming or Velcro in the magwell yet btw.

Thanks in advance for any resolution ideas.

You're putting them in like an AK right? Front hooks in and then you rock the magazine in?

Gents let’s make the collective assumption that I’m not 12 and in fact have been in the military, played quite a bit of Airsoft and actually tech Hop ups to achieve upgraded performance.

I am fully aware of how to engage magazines in the fashion required of an AK, a Galil and an EBR.

The issue is that after being inserted and fired once the mag will unseat itself requiring you to physically cant it forward to re engage.

Hey Rossco,

While I haven't experienced this with an M14, I did experience with another gun I used to own, and shimming with some adhesive velcro worked quite well. Mag was slightly tougher to insert and release, but the gun fed fine after that. Might just want to give shimming a try.

How does your mag catch feel ? Is the spring providing enough tension ?
The age old method of shimming with velcro described above would also be a good start

well, you need to eliminate user error first.

so next thing would be to test if the BBs evacuate the mag in shooting orientation, then feed the gun by hand to see if it's a feeding issue with the gun itself. Lastly, you need to kindly go fuck yourself.

You described that you had to hold the mag in place, so do you not see how that can be interpreted as that it's not locking in?
