Fixed.

All jokes aside though, this seems like a great forum! I thought I made alright money as an IT Tech but I could only dream of owning a pair of NODs. I'm going to have to take out a loan to keep up with you canucks.

Buy a reliable car (or just don't own one).
Don't buy other things.
Stay single women are expensive.
Curb your drinks habits.
Save your money.

Some of these guys have been around for years and thus bought stuff slowly. Others haven't and have either splurged. Keep in mind the hardest part of getting an Ops Core (BJ atleast) isn't paying for it, but finding one in stock or for sale.

Yea with Ops Core being so popular(and sold out). There is a market there for Fast style helmets. I love my ops core but If I didn't have it I would definitely be looking at the Team Wendy and Protec's.

Here is a pic of the new Combat Vehicle Crew (CVC) helmet that has just entered service the last few months;

*Edit: Should be noted the mandible protection is removable, and I don't think I'll ever be using it as it's just a pain to wear a microphone with it on.

Man, that sucks. I'd join the army JUST so that I could fire a gun with a good cheek wield and not have to worry about losing a tooth. And they go and take that away from the poor soldier.

On the bright side, you can say "just grab a JT mask. Not being able to get a cheek wield is more milsim.

Good that the mandible is a optional item. Seems like someone wasn't thinking about the headsets veh crews wear when they added that to the helmet.
It's really nice - skydex type pads and an ops core style dial suspension.

Well there is a thin impact foam liner between the pads and the shell, so I guess that fixes the "standoff" problem. These helmets are far and few in between right now and are part of a vehicle's kitout, not pers issue as we don't have enough...

About 60 people in the Regt who could be reasonably expected to drive or command an armoured vehicle right now, and like 8 helmets.
