Do fake plates for carriers exist?

Rigs with plates in them keep their form better and will disperse load the way they are designed to. Without the plates, the rig often won't keep its proper shape and can lose some of the engineering in regards to dispersing weight properly.

Is there such a thing as a fake plate set that will essentially do nothing more than create the structural rigidity that the real ones would?

If there is, where are they available and how much?

If there isn't, does anyone else see the need for such a product if it was properly priced?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Rossco

Yes, Google airsoft fake sapi and they will come up. $10-20. They are hollow plastic but will definitely add some rigidity.

I've seen them for sale on a Canadian retailer somewhere so I can confirm that they sell them. Actually, I saw it on sale from a link from one of the members on these forums in their signature that led to their store. If I see it, I will send you a pm!

My PC came with foam plates that hold the shape of the PC very well. You could probably google "fake sapi plates" , as mentioned before, and find plenty online.

There are lots of fake plates (thick foam, hollow plastic, ect) a few companies also make realistically weighted and solid plates for training simulation, if that matters at all.

Literally just click on the link at the top of the screen. Plates are among the small handful of things ASC Mart sells.

Plate carriers without training/ dummy plates are inadequate to say the least.

Other option is check out jtac-custom, they make closed cell foam plates in all sizes.

The very vast majority do nothing more the recreate the shape, rigidity.

front back and side plates, for those who can add side plates.

I've had a few different types. Get the laser-cut, closed foam ones. They are far superior to the others in every way.
