S.T.R.I.K.E. MOLLE Harness - Anyone use?

I'm just wondering if any one is, or has used the BHI S.T.R.I.K.E. MOLLE Harness?

http://www.blackhawkindustries.com/p...uct_id=2750&d=

Now that I am using a hero c-mag i dont need mags up the ying yang. I do however need 40mm pouches and a couple backup hicaps, radio pouch and canteen/camelback. So a Modular LBE pretty much answers all my needs.

I have heard bad things about BHI quality though.

Has anyone seen Modular LBE's made by a company with a better track record in quality?

BHI STRIKE gear seems to have a pretty good track record with US troops and Iraqi commandos in the mideast, thats where a great deal of their sales seem to be heading. Really though, I've heard very good things about the STRIKE line-up of gear from airsofters here and members of the US military on other forums.

Anyway, if you want a modular LBE other than BHI's you should get in touch with Eagle Industries. Their product isn't listed on their website but is more or less the sames as the BHI rig, however you should expect to pay more for it.

There's one of these rigs for sale here in the gear section:

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=13983

I saw it up close, it looked pretty nice. I have also heard good things about the STRIKE lineup, though I don't have any experience with them. I've owned a few pieces of BHI gear over the years, and the quality has been more than adequate for Airsoft use. It's just not AS good as some of the really high end guys...

Isn't BHI gear cheaper then Eagles gear beacuse they use cheap Vietnamese labor so they past the savings along to the consumers.

BHI's quality is more then fine for airsoft purposes. I've owned a strike commando harness as well as the CCH, and both had no problems in terms of quality of materials and stitching.

I've heard the reason being that they're the only show in town that can supply multiple items within a few days turnaround. That's why you see so many teams with them on.

It's a decent piece of kit for the price. However, it's not quite right for small guys (ie. me). As for concerns about quality, IMHO since Blackhawk released their STRIKE line-up, QC went up a bit, and they're now on par with say, TT. That is, it's good and will last you, but it's not at the bomb-proof level of say SOE or HSGI.

I'm currently using the BHI STRIKE LBE and am very happy with it. If you have a smaller waist you'll have to remove the rear panel but you'll still have a considerable amount of real estate left over.

It does the job....don'y expect anything more.. My BHI strike commando rig feels like plywood and gives me a backake everytime i use it, but it works...

I could also put you in a HSG Warlord V-4 MOLLE Chestrig for $239 CDN

Just remember that $99 US is around $130 CDN not to mention duty, taxes and shipping :banghead:

Well I think I picked the right peice of gear. I am 6'3" from what I read the LBE is a good choice for us taller folk.

Thanks for the offers about vests for sale but I doubt I will go back to a full blown vest or even a chest rig. I dont need the space anymore with my loadout. If I ever do I have my CP gear mod vest, which could use a little bit of a shoulder extension. I got gorilla arms so getting at pouches up high is lots-o-fun. Sort of looks like a bib on me
