Just so you know, that Esquire article was about a poser. Just in case you were looking to emulate him.

Isnt the gun he's holding a french sniper rifle?

but then again, i might be wrong.

nope. not wrong, just did a little search and found the name, its an FR F2

Specs:

Caliber: 7.62x51mm NATO (.308)
Operation: Bolt Action
Barrel: 650mm
Weight: 5.75 kg loaded w. scope
Length: 1200 mm
Feed Mechanism: 10 round box mag.

FR F2 is a modernized version of older FR F1 sniper rifle. Main differnces are in chambering (FR F1 was chambered in 7.5mm Lebel) and in the barrel design: FR F2 has thermal shielded barrel (polymer envelope around the most part of the barrel). FR F2 is now in service with Franse military and law enforcement.

Hes not talking about the rifle, he is saying that the person that the article was about was a poser.
