Something close, easily available (in Canada).

have you got the FDE part you want to match? take it to an autobody paint shop some places can match and can it for you.

There's no actual part/color I'm trying to match, fortunately: I just keep finding myself frustrated by Krylon Camo Khaki (way too light) and Krylon Camo Brown (way too dark) when painting stuff, so I really want to find something in between. I have another helmet I want to do soon, and having done a similar one before I know it won't give me the results I'm going after (previous one was more desert: this time around I want something more woodland-y. Pic of the other one here, it works with just brown but otherwise its going to be way too light)

I used Tanya XF72, available in most hobby stores including in spraycan variants.

And yeah I agree with you...current Canadian Krylon lineup sucks. I've been told the new colors (sand & woodland light green), which are available in the US, *might* come next year... Hopefully they do. They'd still need a medium brown, though.

Ask your boy flash... He baught some last winter when I did his helmet paint job. I dont remember the brand but it whas from a Canadian retailer

Drake, looks with Aervoe paint. Xav1982 to mention that it has been used to make a paint job on a helmet. Here is the result
