If these guys can get the form factor down (and/ or make a 'caseless' version that owners can hide in the bodies of bulkier platforms like GPMGs), and make the 'volume' somewhat scalable, they'll have a hard time keeping these in stock.

Those are the two key hurdles keeping these from becoming more-or-less standard equipment for serious player groups.

Hi All

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has posted. It's been great to read the feedback, both the pros and cons.

I thought it would be good to sign up and answer some of the questions.

Firstly though, how do we get our hands on some decent CADPAT? It's so hard to get it in NZ but the stuff works so well!

So here's a little run down of the B.O.S.S. (Ballistic Ordnance Sound System) GS203-A1.
It's basically a plug 'n' play device. It can detect when the gun is firing so you do not have to hold down a second trigger (that would be stupid). We do have a test button on it to muck around with so we don’t have to fire the gun.
It fires anywhere from 1 to 1000 shots per minute so it’s able to adapt its fire rate to most guns
It runs on the AEG’s battery and propane. 1 fill is equal to 5-10K shots.
The sound can be altered for indoor and outdoor use.
As for the release, well we are moving as fast as we can but it’s important we get this right.
Too often we see players buy gear only to have it break down within days/weeks.
Also being a military training platform, we hope to bring you the same performance and durability.

As for players feedback/concerns. Well it's been positive but a lot of that comes down to communication and being sensitive to your surroundings. We always let the local police know when we are playing and at the end of the day, the field owner and DS has the last say as to whether or not we can use them.

I hope this helps answer some of your questions.

Here's hoping we can come to Canada in the near future and mix it up with you lot.

Cheers,
Jaxxs (Mark)
Director

If I want something like a real gun, I'll go and buy a real gun, lol.
Really though, it comes across as a little gimmicky, but also there's a lot of room for things to go really bad. How much sooner would Whitby have shut if someone used one of these? And what about the silly twat who wants to pop off a few rounds in his back yard without the common sense to shut this off?
It's a neat idea, but anything that could convince the public that an airsoft gun is real...
I mean, we read all the time about tards who've more coin than brain regarding airsoft, and imagine the spin that media would put on this.

Thanks for your time in coming here and answering our questions!

A few more questions if you don't mind:

You say it detects when the gun is shooting, I am assuming it's sound based?
If so, How accurate is the sync? Any chance of it mistaking a different sound for a shot going off while it shouldn't? Will it react the same for an AEG or GBBR sound signature, as both are widely different?

If bit sound based, can you tell us a bit more on that matter?

Thanks again!

I'll be blunt on that one:
It's the "silly twat's" and the "tard's" problem, really

You guys should stop worrying about "OMG We're gonna get screwed and they're going to ban all our stuff because of this one guy" type of thing. This is just not how it works

Stupid people do stupid stuff all the time, and no ban on anything ever stopped them

The point of this is for enjoyment, to try to make your weapon seem more to the real deal. You can't just walk around and play a skirmish with a real steel weapons can you now?

Jaxx has my funds when he sells them , be nice as if someone mentioned above if it could fit into a smaller peq box or something.

Also for you Cadpat, you would have to get it probably from the US for some quality gear :| But shipping will be qutie expensive.....

Oh, I'm not arbitrarily trying to shoot this down. It's just that what one does can effect us all, so no, it's not just the twat's and tard's probs.
I'm just trying to touch on both sides of this.

There is a lot of room for things to go bad for airsoft in general. Airsoft guns already look as real as they need to, to convince people that they are real.
You are right tho. This does add an extra dimension of risk to it.
IMO it'd be best to let local LEO know whats going on before using these. Depending on the population density or just some random person nearby, someone might hear it and think about calling it in.

POV game vid with FIVE BL Tech's!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Rx7btqHtaI

Sadly it seems these will only be compatible w/ AEGs at the moment... which means you'll need to pick up an ERG or one of the other recoil integrated AEGs for a fully immersive experience.

Though I've just had a thought... the moment someone has the bright idea to "accidentally" test fire these at home, and someone will = a surefire way to get the police/ert showing up in your neighborhood..

Seems to me if you paired this thing up with one of those TOP shell ejecting M4s it would make a pretty awesome training platform.

Also, I do hope they release one for GBBs.
