CYBERGUN FNX 45 won't shoot (no gas output)

Hi

I have a fnx 45 pistol that i just purchased.

Now i have an issue w it not firing.

I tried it with 4-5 mags w fresh gas in them. Seems like the gas release/knocker valve on the mag isnt being opened. Outside it functions normally, e.g. the hammer moves .etc but inside i dont see anything moving in the pistol frame that would open the release valve on the mag.

Is there any way i can figure out what this is and get parts to fix?

You could try dripping silicone oil into the hammer system, which often does wonders for me. If that doesn't fix it, check these three questions:

1: is your magazine able to release the gas by pressing the output valve?
2: When you take your gun apart, can you feel the knocker protrude into the magwell when you pull the trigger?
3: With the slide off and magazine in but without gas, slowly lower the hammer. Does the knocker come in contact with the center of the output valve?

Yes: Y. No: N. Doesn't apply: NA

N, NA, NA:
you've got bad mags.

Y but no pressue, NA, NA
You're filling your mags wrong.

Somebody toucha your spagett!!!! I mean... Somebody either put in a wrong part or incorrectly.

Y, Y, Y:
Might be the hammer spring being too weak.

Yes, barely if at all, will try but see #2, can't really even see a part that should be there to hit the knocker valve.

Sometimes that knocker doesn't come out until you freely release the hammer. Pulling the trigger from cocked will give it enough force to get it to protrude for a short amount of time.

I pulled the slide off and w and wo mag in cocked hammer and squeezed trig. No knocker appears to come out into the area where the valve would sit.

Did you buy it new or used? How is its condition?

The valve knocker only moved 1-2mm andnis barely visible especially when the hammer falls.

Put your finger on the knocker and feel it don't just look at it. You should feel a slight forward bump and then it immediately recedes back into position. It doesn't hang out there.

Ok, may feel something. What would cause this to not fire?

If the hammer spring is weak (unlikely) or your magazine gas valves are too stiff or needs lubrication.

Try removing the base plate and push the magazine up so it seats flush with the magwell

Update: got another Fnx, and compared: it seems there is a piece that hits the knocker valve on the mag that is completely absent from the broken one (or buried in frame).

Any way to get parts for these?

You'll have to post a pic mate. I've had luck finding valve knockers off ebay but they're far and scarce so try everywhere including the manufacturer.

But one thing you didn't mention is if you bought it used or new. If it's used/from a story contact the them and get a refund.
