G&G cm16 raider

hey guys, recently bought a G&G CM16 raider and wondering what parts i should upgrade. Looking at internals and external ideas. Since i'm still a noob and trying to learn can you explain what the upgrade part is for and what it will do.

Thanks airsoft world

If I were you, I would only change the barrel for a precision barrel. If you have extra money, there is better way to spend it in airsoft.

The great thing about the CM16 is that it is a cheap (possibly the cheapest) way to get in the game and be competitive. I have seen the CM16's out shoot some $500+ guns, right out of the box. The internals are solid for what you want right now.

They saved the money on the externals. The best external would be to - eventually - replace the dreadful 3 piece Marui style outer barrel with a nice 2 piece outer barrel.

If you want to spend, have it rewired to the rear, and put a rail system up front. If you go that route then replace the stock with a cranestock in order to accommodate a nice nunchuck battery. Or you could switch to Lipo and use a stock tube battery and keep your LE style stock. This will open up the front end for all the accessories your budget can allow to be attached to the rails.

AND, of course, you could replace the plastic body with a nice metal body.

Otherwise, as I stated you should have a fine performing gun. The G&G stock hopup bucking is top notch. If you wanted to add a tightbore inner barrel then you could also do that.

Sorry, I did not notice that you have the raider. You already have the rear wiring.

Better battery and if the raiders have the 3 piece outer barrel then replace that, at least when it gets stripped and starts wobbling. And the tightbore barrel.
