TRIAD RAIL MOUNT FOR C7/C8

I'm working with another member on the board to come up with these, for airsoft... we need to know the demand.. I.E. is it worth our time to make them? Approx what are you guys willing to pay. They are going to be exact replicas.. full metal.

Let me know guys, make your C7 and C8's complete.

here is a link to what i'm talking about, reference front sight.

If you do make them, I'll take 2. That I can guarantee. When I say I'll buy something, I mean it. My sig should be testament to that. lol

Yeah, depending on the materials, price, and finish, I'd take one.

No potmetal, please.

Yes, of course. Price and overall quality are definitely a factor there as well. I'd ideally like two. If I deem them too expensive, I may take only one. I want them as cosmetic attachments to make my guns look more authentic. But if they're good quality and reasonably priced, I'll definitely take them. And I'm sure you'd have little trouble selling them off here and on ebay.

I had mine custom made and was charged only 40$ for it if that helps anyone guage pricing.

On here they would sell , yes, but not likely on ebay. Keep in mind theres alternatives to the Triad system made by Guarder, and I think King Arms. while theyre not exact, one of them is quite close. Both offering the same functionality. Theyre both priced around 60-80$ each (after s&h and such)

Personally, Im just getting this. If Zekk paid 40$ for his, the extra 8$ isnt really much considering you get a sling swivel with it.

Just a side note, ICS makes one of these, part number MC-75. $40 from www.blazingtoys.com out of the 'States. Nice little units.

Except that the one ICS make is to attach to a pre-existing rail and holds a torch or optics...

that ics mount does the same thing, but it is not the same thing at all.. this is for canadian themed setups, exact copy of the issued canadian forces mount. for those that want to copy properly.

no idea what its going to be made of, but your guys cost suggestions are going to help..

dont get hopes up too high, this is just in the "hey i got an idea" phase.. but hopefully we can get something up and running before too long.

thanks for the input guys, keep it coming

Make sure you make it the right size, most airsoft ARs, especially M4s are running US Fatty grips, not the slimmer ones found on the C8. As such using 1:1 triad specs may not work, since its built to be used around the slimmer grips.

I know some one that has a real triad, they had to get it machined to fit properly.

see if you can ask him roughly how much he had to trim, and where on the mount needed to be shaved. that would help

Go here for an accurate drawing of the Triad and more details.

This should be enough for a machine shop to make it.
