Angry BB's getting stuck in the hopup

Hey, I have an aks-74u (cybergun) with a drop in LCT gearbox (everything else stock) and for some reason a bb gets stuck in the hop-up (the sleeve part that over hangs the barrel) more specifically a BB ends up rolling over half the sleeve.

Now I know I need a new hopup bucking anyways but would replacing the hopup bucking fix the jamming issue?

(note: I've already tried everything I could find online but to no avail :/ )

Could also be your hopup rubber is too hard for your FPS. I had the same problem before. All I did was get a softer hopup bucking and problem solved.

With a lot of reassemblies parts get jiggled and twisted a bit differently each time.

Once a hopup rubber gets a bit mangled it's time to swap it out. Try a medium hardness good quality hopup rubber. I personally like the A+ hopup rubbers.

airsoftstore.ca (assuming LCT has a standard v3 hop up?)

Thanks, but it's still more money for shipping than the part itself, although I do like that company better than the one that mach1airsoft was offering. and yes, it's a semi-standard v3 hopup ( I say semi because the screw holes are vertical instead of horizontal.)

Take the barrel group out, and try pushing a bb through the barrel by hand
If it takes more than a few grams of pressure to push the BB through the lip of the hop rubber, you'll need to remove some material from it. Use a roll of 220 grit to loosen it up.
The BB shouldn't fall through the lips, but it shouldn't be hard at all to push it through either.

Don't know why I didn't think of that... Thanks Thunder, I'll try that tomorrow.

Are you sure its 40 degree? cause that's ridiculously soft
Most likely you assembled something wrong and lost compression

Try cleaning your inner barrel with some silicone oil and a piece of paper towel or something that will not scratch your inner barrel. Dirt inside builds up over time no matter how clean your bbs are, there is also small amounts of grease shoot out from inside the gearbox that build up

I thought I would mentioned my instance of BB-Hop up jam.

I have a VFC AK74 with a stock VFC hop-up unit PDI-W Hold hop rubber and I discovered I cannot use BioShot 0.30g BBs. They jam almost every shot. I have tries 5 other kinds of weights and brands including 0.30gs from BB Bastard. All others fed perfectly on all hop settings with mags loaded full.

Have no clue why, just doesn't like them.

I have a PDI-W Hold in another gun (an M4) that has a G&P Hop-up unit and the BioShot BBs feed flawlessly at all hop settings.

Could be the combination of the VFC unit with the PDI rubber. Who knows.

Mine did that but thats just because it had no lubrication whatsoever. dabbed a cotton swab in a little silicone oil and it works fine
