Cant find my gears

Hi I have a cm.028 metal ak-47 and the gears are in rough shape (missing cogs) and the gun will not work, and I was wondering if anybody knew where I could find some replacements. I don't want the whole gear box just the gears. Thanks

If it's a V3 gearbox, you should be able to find gears on basically any site which sells airsoft internal parts.

hey marcus, if you look at drakes profile, you'll see the word "staff" which usually means dont piss off!

why dont you try wikipedia and other searchs to find out more about your gun and airsoft in general then come back and ask a question to waste time. your question is bloody retarded in my opinion and you really shouldnt be touching an airsoft gun if your not willing to learn about your gun in the first place.

You need standard V2 / V3 gears available from any airsoft parts dealer, both in Canada and abroad.

Since this is the newbie tank we're supposed to be polite and all that....

...nice to see why that is.

1st. It's helpful, especially if you're looking for where to get parts info, if you fill out your profile to note your location. There's no point in guys pointing you to a local store if you live in Greece (there are a lot of out of country guys on this forum)

2nd. Any online store will carry v2/v3 (they're the same) gears.

A standard gear ratio is fine in most cases. If you're in doubt read up the gear ratio calculation article on airsoftmechanics.com and buy accordingly.

There's also general articles on what gearsets mean/do what.

If you're replacing the gears, you will want to give consideration to your bushings and shimming...if you don't, you stand a good chance of mangling things quickly again.

There....I've said all the nice stuff...

Last piece of advice...don't shit where you plan to eat.

so in all your time in your "hobby" of fixing guns loking for other parts you've never not once seen gears advertised or shown on a website? I've never replaced any gears either, I don't even use aeg's I use gbbr's but I know exactly where to find gears, their all over every airsoft webstore it's kinda unavoidable.

also if you did fix guns as a hobby you'd know what kind of gearbox it took, and even if you hadn't the slightest clue what gears that type of gearbox used, like it was your first time opening an airsoft gun you would search "VersionX gearbox gears".

your AK-47 uses a Version 3 gearbox, all AK's do.
