RS type 97 modernlized

I was going to post this in the Media block, but thought not much people would be interested in this, so I decided to post it here.

sorry for the crappy pic, no money for new camera since I spent all my money on airsoft.

Real sowrd Type97
type 97/ 95 sling
Real steel RIS system for 95/97
custom work on the mag catch
some cosmetic paint.

I dyed the engrave' RS type 97' and S/N into black colour instead of the original sliver tone. painted the semi and full auto indicator on safety switch red.

The mag catch issue has been solved by modified and installed an ambi mag catch on it. see how to do it: http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=118692

The RIS was from one of my personal connection, it's the only one in Canada. I might get few more sets for my teammates in the future, but that really depends, I had a very bad experience with the Canadian custom on this matter.

Very nice.

Do you they have a RIS system for Type 97b?

I love the look! The Type 97 looks really nice.
Do the Chinese use aimpoints?

To be honest it looks a bit odd with the aimpoint on lol... Maybe with a quick reflex... MAYBE...

But that carrying handle has to go for the aimpoint to work well in my opinion. but at the same time the other side of me loves this radical look for unexplained reasons lol...

Very unique for sure.

Looks nice. Could use more rails imo, and I'm not sure how type 97 looks without the carrying handle. Think M4A1 CQBR, maybe it'd look even nicer.

怎一个帅字了得!!!!!!!!!

试试用gp的thermold mag,(jg,dboy不通用)这样会更有95的范儿。。

Entirely personal preference

i tried mounting 97 by the fking beefy Elcan.
but finally it turned out to be a fking freaky looking.

i m still a bit curious why the hell elcan gives a perfect mounting on AUG,but not type 95/97...

thanks for the input, sortie39. will try the mags that you suggested. as for the red dot, I used a M2 on it just because they used it during the test, as a matter of fact, M4 red dot will fit on it as well.

Going for load-out accuracy I presume? I wish I knew more about PLA rules, such as if painting the weapon, modifying it, or using non standard guns is allowed; and if so, whether or not it applies to elite forces. I'd like to personalize my loadout without sacrificing accuracy. By that I mean not running around with an M4 XD
